Meet the hands behind KORĒ

Belinda Wearne is the practitioner behind KORĒ.

As a massage therapist of over 20 years, qualified in remedial massage, she was always frustrated at running out of time with people’s bodies. Never quite enough time to truly pay attention to areas that needed it most.
And the easiest sacrifices… the head and the scalp.

Somehow, the big muscle groups always took precedence, oblivious to the fact that the entire nervous system and body is drastically impacted by the nerve systems stemming from the skull, face and neck.

This tender, highly tensioned area that makes such a dramatic shift in the state of the entire body and nervous system is absolutely worthy of focused attention.
The bonus is that it gives back exponentially, so much of what we call aging of the face is tension. Release it, and take the pressure off by helping bones return to their positions, and you’re left looking and feeling so much fresher too.
Korugi, the traditional Japanese technique at the heart of Belinda’s work, is a brilliant, all-encompassing base to build face massage on, it gets results on its own. Paired with two decades of hands-on bodywork and knowledge, she’s found this 90-minute experience to be deeply relaxing, thorough, and adaptable to each client’s specific needs.

Her approach is gentle enough for tissues to be treated without added stress, yet firm enough to make actual change. Every session is built around real, visible results, not just relaxation or rejuvenation. It’s work that shows.

Why KORĒ?

Kore is one of the oldest names for Persephone, but she was never just the maiden of spring. She was also Queen of the Underworld, moving between two worlds each year, carrying both light and depth. Belinda loves her as a symbol not because she stays young, but because she never stops renewing. That’s what this work is about. This work isn’t about chasing youth, but tending to the parts of you that still feel vibrant, alive, and worth caring for, at any age. Ageing well isn’t about looking like you did at twenty-five. It’s about your face and body finally getting to reflect the fullness of who you actually are.

KORĒ Face Massage Studio is new to Mullumbimby. Belinda has just moved to the area, and is excited to bring this specialised approach to a community that already values natural remedy and knows there is a difference between pampering, and actual care.

For anyone whose face has been holding onto more than they realised, Belinda would love to help them put some of that down.
